Well my birthday is tomorrow. Which brings me to the topic of gifts. I have always loved coming up with creative gifts to give. From birthdays to Christmas to the most recent wedding gift. In my almost 24 years of experience I have found that gifts that come from the heart rather than the store are much more meaningful and remembered.

Smores Brownie

In the past I have given heart felt cards, diy crafts, a ski trip and desserts. I was always the girl bringing the birthday cakes to the party, pumpkin pie to Thanksgiving and the tray of cookies to Christmas dinner.

Baking has been a passion of mine since I learned how to. I love to create new recipes, try new flavor combinations and explore new ingredients. And I love to share that passion and talent with others.Smores Brownies

And that is exactly why this smores brownie was created. This smores brownie is perfect for any chocolate lover in your life. Broiled marsh mellows are lined on top of chocolate chip icing and stacked on top of a double chocolate brownie bottom.

This smores brownie is gluten free, refined sugar free and dairy free. Add dry ingredients to a mason jar for a dessert satisfying gift. Or make and take to your next get together for a delicious fall treat.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix dry ingredients together. Add eggs to dry mix, then add milk slowly until you get a brownie mixture. In a greased 9x9 pan pour batter in. Take a small hand full of the chocolate chips and sprinkle on top. Bake 15-20 minutes until fully done. Next in a small bowl melt chocolate chips and coconut oil. After brownie is cooked pour the chocolate on top. Spread around in a thin layer. Top chocolate layer with marsh mellows and broil until you get a slightly burnt topping. Let cool and enjoy!
