Cinnamon Raisin Protein Cookies

The day you enter the world of health and fitness, you never leave. Whether you join a running group, start lifting at the gym, go to a Crossfit box, Pure Barre class, Cycling Studio, or join a community like Beachbody you will see that life is not the same without it.

When I started blogging about working out and creating healthy recipes I found a community. A community of support, inspiration, determination, and friendship. When you have a group of like minded people with similar goals, nothing seems out of reach.

This community was something much bigger than just getting into shape, working out or eating healthy. The community is about following your dreams, pushing yourself to the limits, and achieving more than you thought was possible for yourself.

Being apart of this amazing community has really taught me what the power of support, guidance and discipline can do for your life. Look at my blog for instance and posts from my first year of blogging. After 3 years of blogging, I never thought anything would come from it, but I know I have inspired people. And inspiring just one person makes the writing, photography and editing process worth it.

I started my blog as a way to share my thoughts, workouts, recipes with those with like minded interests. And over the last 6 months of listening to podcasts, reading blogs, and joining communities like BGB and Food Blogger Pro I started to transform my blog.

Never did I think I would be getting pictures of my recipes approved on recipe sharing sites like Finding Vegan and Foodgawker. I didn’t expect the support and interest from those around me, and most of all I didn’t think I would get to work with some brands like Bobs Red Mills or Blue Diamond Almonds.

But joining a community gave me the motivation and confidence to invest in myself and invest in what I love.

Now onto these Oatmeal raisin protein cookies. These oatmeal raisin protein cookies were inspired by Lenny and Larry’s Oatmeal Raisin cookies. If you have seen them in stores you know they are not the cheapest things. So in an effort to make a healthy oatmeal raisin cookie, I created these oatmeal raisin cookies.

These soft oatmeal raisin cookies are a healthy twist on the classic oatmeal raisin cookie. They are gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free and contain 5 ingredients.
