Everyone has a favorite Christmas dessert. Mine were always the peanut butter cookies with Hersey kisses placed in the middle of them, when they were just out of the oven.
I remember helping my Mom each year by rolling the peanut butter dough balls into sugar and unwrapping an entire package of Hersey kisses.
My favorite thing to do with them once they had set out for a day or two was to stick them in the microwave for 10 seconds, just long enough for the cookie to be slightly warm and the chocolate to be melty.
Now just the smell of peanut butter cookies take me back to Christmas time in my childhood home. Baking cookies to set aside for Santa.
And always being my Mom’s help in the kitchen.
This weekend I was feeling a little left out, not getting to Christmas shop with my family, put the Christmas tree up or just hang out with my parents and sister. So I decided to make my own Chocolate Donut Peanut Butter cookies.
Randy and I got a mini donut pan for a wedding gift, and since I have been trying to figure out a way to use it. And these Chocolate Donut Peanut Butter cookies was the perfect time to give it a try.
These Chocolate Donut Peanut Butter cookies are gluten free, dairy free and so easy to interchange with what you have in your kitchen.
They take minimal time to make, and the donut is just an extra addition to these delicious cookies.
