Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

I have to admit that I am one of those rare people that loves grocery shopping. There is something about exploring the products, produce, spices, and extracts that I just can’t get enough of.

As a food blogger and recipe creator, inspiration doesn’t always just strike me. Finding inspiration for new recipes or ideas is a process in itself. Every great chef, cook, recipe book author, and food blogger has their own process for coming up with ideas.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

Sometimes recipes come easy, but just like writing sometimes I get recipe creators block. Grocery shopping is often my cure.

It can be a new product I find, a new spice mix, or a new flavor. Creating a product to make a homemade version is one of my favorites. But I think one of the best methods is taking an old classic that every loves and cherishes and making a new version of it.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

That is how this soft, chewy and chocolatey peanut butter cookie was created. Browsing my local sprouts I found cocoa peanut butter, and thought it would make the perfect substitution for my usual jiff peanut butter in my gluten free peanut butter cookie recipe.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

I have used the base of this cookie in my peanut butter raspberry cookie and my muddy buddy cookie cake. This time I decided to make cookies. Chocolate chip peanut butter cookies. These cookies are refined sugar free, gluten free, vegan (with a substitution) and paleo friendly.
